Some of the buffet dishes weren't warm enough - temperature-wise- but the food was tasty and the service good. The Taj has a nice decor and is a good place for meeting friends for lunch!

This place offers one of the best indian food to calgarians , the buffet system is quite good.I could've given the place a 5 star but the guy who served us wasnt seem to be happy aboout our presence , rude n unproffesional! The lady was nice n welcoming!!

We are long time patrons this TajMahal restaurant. We were very happy to learn that they were open for take out in May. We ordered our meal for Mother’s Day dinner and were not disappointed. Their food is the best! Period!

It's hard to tell a story. Taj Mahal is kind of a ritual or a cultural thing in our directional/mwd industry. Many people like to go here or take people here. The price is good, the buffet is authentic and delicious. It's weird to get into it through the alley but once you've learned the secret alley entrance it's a pleasure to come eat here.

called for a last minute take away dinner and was thrilled to do it so easily on line and then pick it up and have it be so over the top delicious... everyone was so friendly and the food was fabulous... thank you....

The service is very friendly, the restaurant is clean and well kept, the price is reasonable. And I love that they do a vegetarian buffet on Wednesdays! The food is definitely good, but I do find it to be overly oily and greasy, especially with some of the vegetable dishes.

Food quality was average for what youd expect of an Indian restaurant. Price was somewhat high for portion size. Service was great. Server was attentive.

I've ordered from here twice. The first was the best butter chicken I've ever had, with tender amazing chicken and a rich buttery sauce; the second was the worst, with gristly old chicken in large, lazy chunks and a sauce far too skewed toward tomato. I'm not sure I can recommend a place that varies so widely in quality based on (I presume?) who's working that day.

We went for the lunch buffet there today and really enjoyed it. Excellent value for the price, and I will definitely go back!

From the moment I walked in I was seated immediately even though they were very busy , I was served immediately for my drink and appetizer which came promptly and was delicious and my main course chicken korma and butter chicken was served in a reasonably quick time overall I would give 5 stars it was perfect thank you take Mahal

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants in the city! The food here was very fresh and delicious. The lunch buffet had great selection and was only $20! The wait staff were very polite here, and it was a very positive and delicious experience. We will definitely be back soon!

Wow! I don’t think I had been here in 10 years and a friend suggested we go last week for lunch. They have renovated. It is way brighter than I remembered. Food was sooooo good! I’ve been thinking about it all week. Can’t wait to head back.

Always have great service and delicious food. My husband is vegan, I am vegetarian, and we both have loads of options. The staff is always diligent to ensure we know of any mods that may need to be made in order to ensure our meals remain vegan and vegetarian. Highly recommend the chai tea which is made fresh to order and is fantastic!

This is THE BEST INDIAN CUISINE IN CALGARY!!! In New Hands as of Several years ago, it wins Hands DownFor Lunch Buffet and Dinner....My wife and I Truly believe these are two of the nicest people in Calgary!!!Lovely and Sweet! We ordered from skip the dishes and honestly this was so good. Veggie pakoras were nice and crispy. Portions were a good side. My husband and I cant wait to go in and try the menu. 👌

The husband and wife that own the restaurant are wonderful people! Very kind and hospitable! Food is beautiful! They even have a dairy free menu which blew me away! Being allergic to milk this meant a lot. Made me feel right at home. Will be going back for the rest of my life!

The Taj has been our go to for family outings for years. We were very excited to see that they were re-opening for take outs. Our ordering online went easily and we were able to schedule our pick up time. The food was ready on time. It was delicious, and wow are the portions big! We'll be back soon!!

There is really only one problem I have with the Taj. I have been coming here for more then ten years, I drive an hour out of our way, past several other Indian restaurants. The problem I have is that the food is so incredibly awesome I have never had room for dessert. If anyone can recommend a dessert that would be great. The Taj is top notch 100% of the time.

I always think of the Taj Mahal when I want Indian cuisine. I have several allergies and the staff are very accommodating and helpful navigating the menu.

I haven't eaten in the restaurant itself for years, but I regularly use their take-out. Food is excellent and decently priced and the staff have always been accommodating to me while waiting to collect the order. Their new online ordering system works like a charm (Wix rather than DoorDash).

Very good and friendly service. Food for the lunch buffet was very good. A nice selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian. Lots of parking out by the alley behind the restaurant.

Had lunch buffet today and it was amazing. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Called first and asked what time they close their lunch buffet and he said at 2:00 pm but for you to really enjoy the buffet, try to be here before 1:30pm. Their food especially their buttered chicken. The only East Indian restaurant that has samosas, both beef and vegetable. Right when we got seated, we were served this hot "pita bread". Really fresh and just made. A lot of variety in their dishes both vegetarian and meat. I will never go to any other East Indian Restaurants except Taj Mahal. Keep it up and you will see many repeat costumers.
